Straighten Your Smile with Orthodontics
At Dentists @ Canning Vale, we offer orthodontic treatment to help improve the alignment, position and function of your teeth. A straighter smile can enhance both your confidence and oral health by making teeth easier to clean and reducing wear caused by bite problems. Led by Dr Desmond Ng, our team provides personalised orthodontic assessments and treatment plans tailored to your individual needs.
Children’s smiles shine brighter
Our team provides orthodontic treatment for patients of all ages in Canning Vale. Whether you are concerned about crowded teeth, gaps, bite problems or crooked teeth, we can help you explore suitable treatment options.
What Is Orthodontics?
Orthodontics focuses on diagnosing, preventing and correcting misaligned teeth and jaws. Treatment applies gentle, sustained pressure over time to gradually move teeth into the desired position. Straighter teeth can be easier to clean and may reduce the risk of tooth wear, gum problems and discomfort caused by poor bite alignment.
Who Can Benefit from Orthodontic Treatment?
Orthodontic treatment is suitable for children, teenagers and adults. Common concerns that may be addressed include crowded or overlapping teeth, gaps between teeth, overbite, underbite, crossbite, crooked or rotated teeth, and jaw misalignment. A clinical assessment will help determine whether orthodontic treatment is right for you.
Orthodontic Options We Offer
We offer a range of orthodontic options to suit different needs, lifestyles and budgets. These include traditional braces using metal or ceramic brackets and wires, as well as clear aligner therapy for a more discreet approach. Following active treatment, retainers are used to help maintain your results long-term. Our team will discuss your options and recommend the most suitable approach based on your clinical needs and personal preferences.
Your First Consultation
At your initial consultation, Dr Desmond Ng will assess your teeth, bite and jaw alignment. Digital X-rays and clinical photographs may be taken to assist with treatment planning. A personalised treatment plan will be provided, including estimated treatment duration and costs, so you can make a fully informed decision before proceeding.
